Alice Uwera - CEO: A Design Researcher with more than half decade of experience in research and data collection. She has worked as an independent contractor on projects in the sectors of education, health and finance as summoned by global organizations including the World Bank and the World Health Organization. Her current work at YLabs Global focuses on Human Centered Design projects where she applies both Design Research and Service Design to develop programs that promote digital health in Rwanda. Alice describes herself as a melomaniac with an abnormal fondness for music and in her free time, she enjoys all kinds of rhythms from classics to afrobeats. She is a sucker for good humor and is recounted by many as affable.
Gaspard Nzasabimfura - CTO: A hybrid of an engineer and a data scientist with a Master’s in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and currently a business data analyst at I&M Bank. Have a vision to promote data literacy and leadership so that organizations/individuals use data for decision making and solving business problems. In more than 8 years have explored and demonstrated how data collected from a wide range of disparate sources such as applications generated data (sales, visitors, logs, etc..), surveys, sensors, mobile data, social media and satellites can be combined to measure key performance indicators, provide insights, drive decisions and influence policy in various sectors such education, energy, telecom/IT and banking.
